What do you do when the cuticle edges of your Sally Hansen Salon Effects mani are torn up, but the tips still have life in them? You go for a ruffian!

Make sure to use a super thick, super opaque color for your ruffian.

Turtle Shells

Here's a non-top coated Burst Crackle over Essie:

Leaving the crackle matte gives the nails a turtle shell style since the shiny Essie peeks out from between the chunks of matte.

NY Ink Inspired Nails

Have you guys been watching NY Ink on TLC? I caught one episode and now I'm totally addicted... and since I'm too chicken to get a tattoo on my body, I thought I'd put some old school-inspired ones on my nails:

Milani Jewel FX: Gold

I know I've already swatched this, but I've got to rave about it again. This is such an INSANE glitter. It's so glittery and ethereal. The only downside is that it has to be put on thickly to get full coverage and when you have that and a coat of Seche top coat you get crazy thick nails... so thick in fact that I twice had full nails pop off (like a giant chip...but the whole nail). It's worth it to get this amazing look.

Crackle Over Crackle

Lime base color with Burst Crackle's Pretty-N-Pink underneath OPI's Black Shatter (with clear coat separating the crackles):

It gives off a cool, almost camouflage vibe.

Tea Flower

A white, pseudo-hibiscus flower over OPI's Just Tea-sing

Warm Crackle

Yellow to pink gradient with OPI's Black Shatter
