I must say, I love milky-looking polish colors. I never expected to find one at Wal-Mart (my Wal-Mart's nail section is trashed 99% of the time), so color me shocked when I ran into a Hard Candy display, fully stocked, and packed with interesting polishes! This was a reasonable price ($4), so I grabbed it. Sweet Tooth looks whimsical and candy-esque and has a decent lasting power. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised!

Monogram Mani
What do you do when you've got one of those iPhone home button monogram stickers, and want to take it off the phone and don't exactly want to trash it? Stick it on your nails and top-coat it!
The gold sticker on nude nails is a subtle look that's fun with an accent nail. I wouldn't monogram every nail though--hello tacky!

Swatch: OPI's A Oui Bit of Red
I love OPI's A Oui Bit of Red! It gave me jelly-vibes in terms of pigmentation, even though it isn't a jelly. It's a bold color with a tiny bit of shimmer--it's a traditional "candy apple red" color.

Ikat 2.0
I'm renewing my love for ikat prints, especially since I saw Phoenix Beauty Louge's ikat nails. It's the colors of this mani that get me--fairly bold but not overpowering. It's on my toes now, too!
Need more ikat? Check out my previous ikat mani!

Pottery Barn Polka Dots
Ever do a simple, yet cute nail design and then realize that you've just put a Pottery Barn pillow print on your nails?

Swatch: Butter London's Slapper
Guess who's town got an Ulta? This girl. And you know what comes with Ulta? Butter London. A dream come true! On opening weekend I picked up Slapper:
It's a bit more green than I had hoped, but it's a good summer color!

Wedding Guest Nails
Hot off the heels of my derailing back injury, I had a work event to organize, and then a friend got married, so I got caught in the eye of that super-fun storm... hence the lack of posts lately! So, let's enjoy my wedding nails!
I had some things to consider when choosing a color:
I had some things to consider when choosing a color:
- It had to match two outfits because I knew there might not be enough time to change the color between the rehearsal dinner (outfit: black LBD with leopard heels) and wedding (navy lace dress with mint heels).
- It couldn't be a wild color. It had to be a color considered "nice" when looking at photos 20 years from now.
- It had to be a color that could have a glittery top coat should there be some damage that I needed to quickly fix.

China Glaze's It's Alive
Ignore the random pink glitter--it's just a reflection of my shirt. This is an awesome mossy green glitter with hints of gold. It was almost opaque in one coat... but I put on two for good measure! I love unusual colors so this hits the sweet spot. I'm lovin' it!

OPI's Sanguine
Sorry folks, no fancy jumbo posts this week because I recently hurt my back pretty bad and it totally derailed my week... so let's have some swatches instead!
Here's the vampy Sanguine by OPI. It's super dark, but when it hits light you can really see the blood-red shimmer peek through.
