Zoya Color Box: Soft Greys

Guess who got a Zoya Color Box in time for the holidays? I chose the Soft Greys trio (swatches coming later) because I love me some greys! Here's what the box looks like as it's being unwrapped:

This would make such a great gift for someone, especially since (most of) the boxes each have a small range of colors. So, if you know someone likes reds, you could buy them the red box and they're bound to fall in love with at least one of the reds. It's affordable, too coming in at $24 (with free expedited shipping).

Ohhh Minx, always doing things that ordinary polish cannot. I love you.

There's a full rainbow hidden in the silver base. It looks great--especially at night!

This is such a great fall/winter color and it lasted really long on my nails without chipping even without a top coat. So great!

I'm being a total Scrooge McDuck this year! I'm tired of the mass consumerism that's involved with Christmas and I'm expressing it on my fingers! Viva La Grinch!

Noel Fielding Inspired Mani

I've been out of The Mighty Boosh's fandom-loop for a while now (but I didn't lose the love, y'all), so when I ran across Noel Fielding's new art book The Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton, I first, tried to buy it (darn you, pre-order!), but then just decided to look up his more recent work. He's been doing book signings in the UK where he paints a giant canvass with his surreal and whimsy images in front of fans. It's brilliant.

This is a nice color, but not unique. The price is great (I paid under $2), but I'd rather pay more and get a polish that lasts more than a day... seriously, this stuff chipped after virtually no wear and tear!
